about this team

Global Retail Design Studio (GRDS) collaborates and co-creates with internal business units to develop, innovate and evolve retail concepts, store design, and retail fixture design that embody the unique lululemon experience. The team is responsible for the establishment, governance and maintenance of global store design principles, guidelines and prototypical templates to ensure consistent design ques reinforce a strong experiential brand identity. Through clarity, focus and coordination we support the business strategies and elevate the guest experience through retail design innovation.


As a Senior Manager, Global Retail Design, you will be responsible for taking projects from Concept through Design Development to scalable roll-out.


a day in the life: what you’ll do

Develop Design Strategies outlining how the design team will create and develop deliverables that translate concepts into innovative designs, experiences and fixtures

Manage a small and nimble team of designers, evaluating individual design deliverables and how they support successful actualization of ‘the brief’

Deliver critical feedback as well as encouragement and celebration

Through collaboration with cross-functional partners, work through the design process from opportunity identification, concept development, prototyping, piloting and transition to roll-out and scale of new retail design strategies and concepts

Manage communication with external vendors and between cross-functional teams to ensure retail design & fixture co-creation and collaboration meets desired outcome


qualifications

Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design

8-10 years minimum experience in design related field, with a focus on retail design and fixture design, managing a team of multi-disciplinary creatives

Proficient in CAD/Revit software, and 3D software SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Creative Suite

Strong workshop skills with ability to use power tools, as well as specialized equipment like 3D printers, CNC routers and Laser Cutters

Thorough understanding of manufacturing and construction means, methods and materials

Excellent verbal and visual communication skills for various management types and levels

Strong organizational skills and the capability to multitask and handle multiple projects in different phases at same time with ability to drive work and ensure deadlines are met

Compensation and Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100 - 176,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
