Position Summary:
Milacron is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Supply Management to join our team onsite in Batavia, OH. As the Senior Manager of Global Supply Management, you will be responsible for leading the source-to-contract and procure-to-pay function, inclusive of strategic sourcing, contracting, procurement, tactical buying, and operational purchasing activities, with ~$200M spend coverage. This role requires experience with strategic planning, materials management, leadership, and exceptional negotiation skills to ensure the company’s sourcing and procurement activities are cost-effective and value-adding. This individual is a key strategic partner to the Milacron business operations as well as the Global Supply Management COE.
Work You’ll Do:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans and procurement strategies to achieve significant cost savings and optimize business performance
Oversee the management of ~$200M spend coverage, ensuring that all sourcing activities are within budget and meet financial objectives
Enhance ERP system utilization by implementing best practices and training team members to leverage the system for procurement activities
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to standardize procurement processes and drive efficiencies
Monitor market trends and developments to identify potential opportunities and risks
Collaborate with operations teams to align daily procurement activities with production schedules and inventory targets
Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive success, i.e., engineering, marketing, operations, finance, legal, logistics, etc.)
Develop and manage performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and initiatives.
Direct and lead initiatives to improve supply management, policy guidance, and pricing activities supporting the Hillenbrand Operating Model (HOM)
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the day-to-day activities related to the procure-to-pay function
Partner with suppliers on innovations to drive value for the business and ensure we are not disrupted in the marketplace
Lead, manage, and support supplier footprint optimization – transitioning supply between regions to de-risk, dual source, and leverage competitiveness of best cost country
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Logistics, etc) across the company to drive success
Team:
The Senior Manager, Global Supply Management will be part of the Global Supply Management (GSM) Business Integration team, reporting to the Milacron Sr. Director of GSM and serving as a strategic partner for the Milacron business. This role will oversee a team of both strategic and tactical purchasing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
8+ years of experience in strategic buying and/or site procurement, ideally within an industrial manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in sourcing or supply chain within a global matrix organization, working with European, Asian, and North American suppliers
Proven experience working in a global, multi-national company within a matrix reporting organization
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
Experience in both tactical and strategic procurement
