Royal Caribbean Group’s IT Ent Products Shared Services Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, HR and Crew Systems reporting to the Senior Director, HR Systems.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, HR and Crew Systems will be responsible for the management and enhancement of custom HR and Crew software solutions at Royal Caribbean Group. This role requires expertise in building and supporting software solutions enabling crew journey from hiring to working on the ship. The ideal candidate is a leader with strong technical expertise and business acumen, capable of leading a team of software engineers, working cross-functionally with IT, HR, Ship Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives and improve crew efficiency, engagement and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligned with company goals, focusing on crew-centric solutions. Manage and enhance custom HR and Crew software solutions, ensuring their stability, functionality, and alignment with business goals. Collaborate with HR and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements for system enhancements and integrations. Support HR and Crew applications, troubleshooting technical issues and working to resolve them in a timely manner. Work on system integrations, ensuring data flow and compatibility between Crew systems and other internal and external platforms. Ensure high-quality development practices, including unit testing, debugging, and documentation. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing system performance, user feedback, and operational challenges. Ensure a proactive support model, minimizing disruptions to crew operations.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in technical leadership, software development, or technical product management. Experience in crew-facing systems, workforce management, and travel systems is highly desirable. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technology projects Strong understanding of system integration, ensuring compatibility between different software platforms. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and knowledge of modern software development practices (DevOps, CI/CD). Excellent technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical challenges, assist developers with complex issues, and propose effective solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical teams. Leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and overseeing the technical direction of projects.
