About the Role
As Senior Manager, Human Resources for Logistics, you will support eFulfillment productivity by partnering onsite with executives to attract, develop and retain an engaged workforce while ensuring compliance with HR, corporate, state and federal employment policies.
What You’ll Do
Coach building leadership to consistently apply Corporate policies and procedures and maintain compliance with state/federal/local employment laws
Advise leaders on critical HR issues such as labor relations, ADA processes, and associate relations issues to mitigate risk
Manage complex, business critical and highly sensitive associate relations matters including, without limitation, investigations, disciplinary meetings, terminations, active threat issue guidance and law enforcement follow up
Provide solutions for all people-related issues in partnership with the Corporate Shared Service Center
Analyze trends in Associate behavior to drive improvements in productivity, safety, Associate development and overall engagement.
Establish expectations, ensure execution of deliverables and educate associates on Kohl's protocols/processes
Promote a culture of trust and collaboration within the team
Identify talent needs and build the talent pipeline to support business productivity and efficiency
Identify development and talent opportunities for HR associates across the network, and leverage Corporate partners to support development of leadership
Ensure consistency in the Talent Assessment and Performance Management processes, and identify talent gaps through succession planning
Establish and communicate non-exempt hiring goals with the Centralized Staffing team
Influence staffing plans for Exempt hiring through the use of analytics, strong business knowledge and local workforce expertise
Engage with building Leadership and Corporate partners to improve building safety, reduce costs and accelerate return to work for Workers’ Compensation cases
Engage with Building Leaders to understand strengths, opportunities and challenges
Act as initial day to day contact and lead cross-functional meetings with internal and external partners
What Skills You Have
Required
You have 2+ years of HR Management-specific experience, or 5+ leadership experience. Other requirements include :
Ability to work as part of a team, interact effectively across all levels of the organization, and manage multiple tasks
Effective leadership and coaching skills in a dynamic environment
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced critical thinking and decision making skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & web based applications
Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Experience in Labor Relations
Experience working within a Distribution or Manufacturing organization
