Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial performance of the Industrial Optics Product Line and formalizes P&L-based metrics including revenue, gross margin, new product revenue, R&D spending control
Responsible for leading R&D direction and cooperating with the R&D team on all new projects, new technology, platform, and product development, design wins. Responsible for cooperating with operation and engineering teams to control and improve product costs structure to meet market benchmarks and meet customer expectations
Responsible for the growth of the Industrial Optics Product Line and develop capacity plans to meet the company's expectations
Responsible for tracking market trends and formulating product roadmaps to achieve a successful and sustainable business plan
Participates in the establishment of Product Line strategy, coordinates the allocation of resource priorities, and works with cross-teams to eventually satisfy customers, and develops new opportunities through close cooperation with global Sales, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams to support customers
Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of integrity, concern for quality, concern for meeting and exceeding customer commitments, and concern for the personnel
Responsible for meeting all health, safety, and environmental requirements and regulations
Education & Experience
10+ years of experience in progressively more responsible management positions 5+ years of experience in engineering, or manufacturing, or R&D/project management, or business development of optics, optical components, or related industrial field M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Optics, Mechanics, Electronics related engineering fieldSkills
