To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What You’ll Be Doing** The Senior Manager, Insurance and Trust Services, will be responsible for all insurance and Trust products and offerings; identifying and developing new products as warranted to meet changing market conditions, and providing ongoing support to existing products. This role will also directly support all Estate Planning Specialists (EPSs) and Senior Trust and Estate Consultants (STECs) across the country, and work with internal partners and external centers-of-influence to pro-actively grow the insurance and Trust business lines. In addition, the role creates a proactive client service environment, maximizing team productivity and client servicing effectiveness, by providing strategic direction, effective business planning and technical information or advice to staff. As champion of these products and services, this position contributes significantly to the achievement of CIBC Private Wealth’s strategic and financial goals. As an integral part of the Financial Planning team, this role will ensure that the products supported are fully aligned and integrated with CIBC Private Wealth’s financial planning and high net worth client strategies. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **Leadership and Oversight-** You will create a positive work environment by championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values and maintaining effective client servicing practices and disciplines; building team and individual capabilities in order to deliver exemplary service performance and acting as a mentor to assist them with technical skills development to ensure that they meet capabilities and knowledge levels to satisfactorily perform jobs. You will act as a technical resource for all staff on estate planning and administration issues and to other internal CIBC departments as appropriate; conducting/coordinating research as needed, Raising the profile of CIBC Trust within CIBC and/or community through presentations, education and training to the targeted CIBC delivery network, client seminars and external professional centers of influence as assigned and will maintain a high degree of diverse knowledge and understanding of changing legislation, jurisprudence and will & estate planning; + **Market Intelligence-** Being aware of relevant market trends, consumer research and industry information for the purpose of identifying opportunities aligned with Private Wealth's overall strategic objectives. You will systematically obtain input from IAs, EPSs, and STECs to evaluate existing offerings to determine if product meets market/client needs, recommending product enhancements or rationalization as indicated. You will develop strong relationships with industry contacts to be able to provide us with competitive information on an ongoing basis and maintain comprehensive competitive information on insurance and Trust product and service offerings. + **Product and Business Management-** You will work closely with vendors and internal groups to ensure effective and efficient business and operating processes are in place and are implemented and managed appropriately to support excellent client service, growth and profitability, as well as all product changes are implemented on a timely basis, all forms and supporting materials and processes are updated, and all necessary parties, including clients, are informed of changes. You will act as a product champion/liaison/resource with Executive, regional and branch management; Investment Advisors, Sales Assistants, Branch Administrators, Estate Planning Assistants and Associate Trust and Estate Consultants and work with internal partners such as Marketing, Legal and Compliance to maintain an updated current library of informative client-friendly brochures and collateral materials. As product champion, train and develop Investment Advisors, EPSs, and STECs to enhance their understanding of all products. You will develop proposals, assess the impact to technology, back office, as well as effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes, and make recommendations to executives, in addition to creating and implementing a regional plan for sourcing business and raising awareness of Trust and insurance products and services. You will assess new business opportunities, gather all required information, identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies; provide Trust and Insurance training sessions to target partner audiences, participate in client seminars and prepare accurate and timely monthly reporting on business development activities; work with CIBC Trust and insurance partners to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clients. **Who You Are** + **You have knowledge** of project management skills, product management principles sufficient to identify, develop and implement approved initiatives; excellent knowledge of corporate and insurance products in a financial planning context and extensive knowledge of jurisprudence, legislation and regulations pertaining to the administration of Estates and Trusts. + **You can demonstrate well-developed knowledge** of estates/trust law and an understanding of the administration of estates, trusts and powers of attorney/guardianship typically gained from 10+ years of experience in the estates and trusts industry. You have developed knowledge in several areas of industry/client/regulatory activity sufficient to interpret, analyze and apply relevant issues and developments, remaining current on internal and external operational structures/procedures/approaches, technology, legislation, and market factors. + **You are a leader, or aspire to be one** .
