Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing

Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing owns the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans to deliver against brand and business objectives for Encore. This position has overall accountability for marketing planning and content creation, playing a key role in the strategic development and execution of brand and content initiatives.  The Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing will manage the execution of marketing plans while also managing the marketing calendar for content distribution across marketing channels including website, email, social media, and paid ads. Reporting directly to the Director, Integrated Marketing, this role will work collaboratively within the Marketing team and throughout the organization, focusing on building relationships across the Customer, Product and Digital Marketing, Brand, and Communications teams. 

Key Job Responsibilities 

Marketing Planning and Project Management

Provide strategic leadership and development of integrated marketing plans including: web pages, blogs, emails, case studies, contributed articles, social media, lead nurturing campaigns, sales collateral and tools, advertising and sales presentations to support products and drive revenue.

Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects and campaigns, ensuring deliverables are timely and on budget.

Maintain the overall marketing workflow/calendar, working closely with Digital Marketing, Communications, and Industry Relations teams to execute projects and campaigns.

Monitor and report on the success of marketing campaigns.

Product Launch, Messaging and Ongoing Support

Partner with Product Marketing and other functional stakeholders to understand priorities, messaging, and overall marketing plan. Recommend strategies to market existing products and launch new products that drive growth.

Oversee marketing plans, tools, and other program development executed through key elements of the marketing mix – e.g. digital marketing, direct marketing, social media, other advertising, thought leadership, industry relations, etc.

Work with the Digital Marketing, Brand/Communications, and Industry Relations teams as appropriate to activate.

Activate strategies including leading cross-functional work teams and directing internal creative resources and external agencies (where needed) to develop and deploy assets.

Share campaign resources with global marketers (CAN, EMEA, APAC and MX) to support global product launches.

Partner with the Product Marketing team to identify, develop, and maintain marketing/sales tools for core event technology – e.g. demos, sales guides, vision templates, brochures/sell sheets, presentations, proposal boilerplate content, videos, email campaigns, website content, etc. to support new/existing products, communicate the value props, and help close sales.

Ensure tailored content for key customer stakeholder groups - e.g. event planners and venue partners.

Content Development and Management

Direct content strategy for Encore; oversee writing and production of relevant content and work with Digital Marketing team to distribute/amplify via paid, owned and earned channels.

Create assets (white papers, content marketing articles, newsletters, email, social media and video content, infographics, etc.) for customers and industry partners (who will amplify our messages).

Develop content for trade publication submissions, press releases, client/prospect newsletters, and other efforts that generate awareness and understanding of Encore in the marketplace.

Oversee the publishing and organization of assets on the organization's digital asset management (DAM) system.

Oversee 1-3 direct reports that include content development and creative; manage freelance resources.

Measurement and Reporting Insights

Provide data and insights to product marketing strategies, both 3rd party and primary where needed.

Establish and track KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.

Provide analytics/insights demonstrating the value of marketing programs and channels.

Adjust strategies accordingly to improve resource allocation, customer acquisition, revenue generation, etc.

Team Leadership and Development

Hire, train, lead, and develop a team of 1-3 direct reports.

Responsible for team member training, career development, and performance management.

Oversee day-to-day function activities, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Collaborate with freelance creative resources and agency partners that support the development of campaign assets and relevant content.

Job Qualifications

BS/BA degree required in Business, Marketing or related field of study

7-9 years integrated marketing experience within B2B and B2C organizations

Strong track record developing and executing marketing plans

6+ years people management; strong leadership skills and confidence to lead, manage & engage team.

Consistent history of setting strategy, building plans, and driving hands-on execution and accountability for results

Expertise leading cross-functional teams (and agencies) to develop/deploy product positioning, marketing plans, sales enablement tools and marketing mix execution for new and existing products

Demonstrated experience deeply engaging with customers, markets, products and solutions

Experience developing and deploying the full range of marketing mix options to launch new and support existing products/services – sales enablement tools, website content, direct marketing, thought leadership, industry relations, etc.

Proficiency with digital marketing strategies and marketing tech stack to activate within solution marketing plans; campaign development and management expertise

Analytical thinker with ability to synthesize data and analysis from many sources into concise, actionable insights and actionable/profitable marketing plans

Hands on leader capable of leading and doing - can provide marketing vision, project leadership and hands-on execution

Experience leading/managing external vendors and agency partners
