Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy

OVERVIEW:

As part of this transformation, Pfizer is standing up a best-in-class CMO Leadership Team made up of subject matter experts and visionary practitioners. The Senior Manager, Oncology/ Primary Care, Integrated Media Strategy will be a key role within the CMO, helping define the Global media strategy for Pfizer products and serving as the chief point of connection between media and commercial teams.

This position will report to the Director, Integrated Media Strategy and be instrumental in helping to craft integrated media strategy for Oncology/ Primary Care products. This candidate will bring a deep understanding of the intricacies of full-funnel marketing for major brands with digital experience at their core. This person will partner closely with other members of the CMO as well as other organizations to drive a robust, data-driven, and highly strategic approach that moves Pfizer from a leading ‘pharma’ brand into a leading healthcare and patient-first organization.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy is responsible for helping define the integrated media strategy for Oncology/ Primary Care brands and will play a lead role in developing our go-to-market approach. This candidate will partner closely with the media agency and other key constituents in the CMO organization to develop audience-centric, insight-driven media strategy and tactical plans across paid, owned, and earned media channels, aligned with the overall product marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is results-driven with a focus on achieving marketing excellence and delivering measurable performance results.

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy, Oncology/ Primary Care brands, must leverage strong cross-functional abilities to collaborate effectively with a number of key business partners. To be successful in this role, the candidate will seek cross-stakeholder insights and perspectives from and collaborate with the following teams:

Interface with the Media Agency and any external agencies supporting Pfizer, working closely together to incorporate media best practicesPartner with Commercial Marketing Teams to design and implement audience-centric media strategy and tactical plans that deliver against a specific product’s marketing objectivesLeverage insights from CRM & Audience Intelligence to craft highly impactful audience strategyPartner with Commercial Analytics team to action insights from the MROI model into media mix decision-makingCollaborate with Media counterparts (Performance Media, Earned & Partnership Media) to support strategy and activation across paid, owned and earned mediaAlign closely with Media Measurement team to analyze media performance on a regular cadence and implement optimizations on an ongoing basis

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop media strategy across paid, owned and earned channels in partnership with key constituentsCultivate deep understanding of Oncology/ Primary Care products and Therapeutic Area landscape, in an effort to orchestrate the optimal media and audience strategiesLeverage deep insights on consumer behaviors to drive media mix decisions that support optimal media investment allocationsOptimize media mix based on new data and insight into campaign performanceUphold core Pfizer Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy) in day-to-day activitiesCandidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications

7+ years Marketing or Media experience in a professional environmentBS Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience (MBA Preferred)Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environmentDeep experience in digital strategy and performance tactics that lead to business outcomesUnderstanding of data-driven media planning and buying approachesFamiliarity with media and vendor landscape and application of media trends in powering business resultsExperience with working with agencies, technology companies, or consulting partners in advertising and marketing techProven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teamsExceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrixed environmentExcellent communication skills; can articulate complex concepts to a diverse audienceCreative, innovative problem solver who leads with insights derived from dataAbility to manage cross-functional and cross-business projects andinitiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful deliveryStrong writing, presentation and influencing skillsDemonstrate ability to thrive under pressure, to take accountability and to meet deadlines

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
