PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Manager, IT Apps & Delivery at our Tysons, Virginia or San Antonio, Texas location. The primary purpose of this position is to lead an IT team in the development, delivery and support of innovative technical solutions and practices that advance IT division objectives and standards aligned with PenFed strategy. strategic objectives and IT division standards. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties, and the position will perform other duties as assigned. + Manages development and implementation of technical solutions in IT Applications in support of IT division objectives and PenFed strategy goals. + Manage a small number of complex IT Application projects. + Promote industry best practices and supports Application IT standards. + Ensure compliance with IT division technology and security standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise + Monitor production, outputs, and services to ensure that SLAs, and other IT Application quality metrics, are met. + Maintain and controls budget, schedule, and team resources for Application team. + Manage vendors and service providers within Application team function. + Ensure staff has the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives within the Application team’s assigned function and responsibilities. + Meet regularly with direct reports to ensure high employee engagement. + Meet regularly with the team to gather work statuses and discuss progress and obstacles. + Provide advice, guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback. + Promote culture of high-performance, continuous improvement and commitment to quality and accountability. + Establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with PenFed IT Application and division organizational goals. + Document and presents performance assessments. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. + Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. + Advance Degree or equivalent is preferred. + Minimum of ten (10) years’ of progressively responsible experience in IT Applications within financial services is required. + Minimum of three to five (3-5) years out of overall IT experience in leading application software delivery or application Support teams. + Minimum of 2 years of direct management experience + Strong Technical Background – Delivering Vendor Based solutions as well as leading in-house Software Delivery/Development or Application Management Teams + Proficient in digital banking from both Project Delivery and Application Management as well as Business Acumen. Specifically, leading integration and migration activities with a third-Party Vendor. + Excellent communication and relationship management skills. + Demonstrated ability to perform well in high pressure, high stress environment. + Possess knowledge of current Technical Software and Standards. + Experience with ensuring business continuity for Business Application systems. Supervisory Responsibility This position will directly supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
