Wholesale Banking Client Coverage

Hang Seng's Wholesale Banking business provides a broad spectrum of financing solutions to large corporations and financial institutions. As a strategic financial partner to corporate customers, Hang Seng offers a comprehensive range of products and services including bilateral and syndication loans, project financing, property development financing, property investment loans, working capital financing, trade financing, cash management and treasury products. Our experienced and knowledgeable professionals understand the specific requirements of our customers and are committed to providing tailor-made financial packages in their best interests.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Manager, Lending Process and Control.

Principal responsibilities

· Oversee the team for implementation of end to end credit and lending process and control implementation

· Work with BU to improve the credit proposal quality to increase the credit approval rate and shorten the approval turnaround time.

· Evaluate the effectiveness of existing control measures, identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancements.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to improve internal control to ensure Relationship Management Department is compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate operational and financial risks, under the guidance of senior management.

· Support the team to provide training and coaching to enhance RM/RSO awareness of credit risk control measures.

· Improve credit operation efficiency and quality by collecting RM/RSO feedback for LO issuance limit loading questions and exchange with CSE/GSC to achieve a win-win situation.

· Drive the streamlining initiatives of the lending process.

· Oversee the regulatory reporting, credit and lending product MI.

· University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics or Quantitative Analysis.

· Minimum of 10 years' experience in relationship management support, credit service, preferably in banking or financial institutions.

· Demonstrate understanding of Wholesale Customers' product and services requirement, lending process control and knowledge about bank’s internal operations, business structure, stakeholders and teams.

· Ability to interact and build relationship with business stakeholders at different levels.

· Keen attention to details and strong analytical skills, project management experience is plus.

· Able to work under pressure to catch tight timeline and adapt to changes in business preferred.

· Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English

· Strong PC user with good MS Office or Excel skills.
