What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Loans and IFRS 9 Impairment Reporting will be responsible for managing the process of delivering accurate, timely, consistent and value added consolidated financial reporting to RBC Finance Senior Management, External Reporting, Investor Relations, and other impacted parties (including OSFI, Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada) with respect to our loans portfolio, off-balance sheet disclosures, and IFRS 9 impairment. Additionally, the Director will work to enhance IT systems, processes, and controls ensuring data integrity in our reporting.
What will you do?
Lead the production of various disclosures RBC consolidated financial statements and related financial information to support financial and regulatory reporting for monthly, quarterly, year end and Annual Report deliverables.Support the end-to-end loans, off-balance sheet, and IFRS 9 inventory and impairment process as Finance partner, working with Group Risk Management, Accounting Policy Group, Data Risk Management Office, Platform Financial Control Teams, Finance IT, and other internal stakeholders.Work on Agile team with Finance IT supporting the Product Owner role for the Credit Quality Reporting Tool, including prioritizing backlog and coordinating UAT / PIV activitiesIdentify opportunities and improve data integrity and lineage for financial statement and regulatory reportingContinually enhance Finance operational excellence by identifying better/automated processes and controls Provide direct supervision to direct reports as a People Manager, ensuring they are motivated and understand the RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals.Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance.What do you need to succeed?
