Senior Manager, Logistics Claims Management, Logistics Claims Management
Description You will lead strategy on claims processes and TPA performance. Further, you will help develop programs and tools that contain costs, and continue successful third-party administrator (TPA) strategies and relationships. You will have a strong working knowledge of commercial auto and general liability insurance policies and experience with large transportation fleets. You will have experience adjudicating both litigated and non-litigated claims in a time-efficient and cost-effective manner and leading teams to achieve optimal claims outcomes. You will help build processes and strategies for handling new issues and programs that arise in a business-centric way while addressing risk. Typical transactions will range from standard claims settlement to complex high dollar agreements, to large strategic projects and implementations. Key job responsibilities Within the Amazon Delivery organization, the successful candidate will support and report to a Senior Manager on the Logistics Claims Management team, focusing on TPA performance, process improvement, and vendor oversight. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Oversee and lead a team of Risk Managers accountable for the management and oversite of commercial auto bodily injury, physical damage and property claims globally. • Accountable to TPA performance and ensuring the delivery of WoW, MoM, and EOY goals. • Develop strategy and actions plans to lead process improvement initiatives through internal and external team collaboration. • Work closely with third party administrator (TPA) and insurance partners to drive continuous improvement, while supporting simplicity, efficiency, and cost containment. • Effectively communicate recommended risk mitigation strategies to cross-functional and cross organizational internal leadership teams globally. • Leverage subject matter expertise to deep dive processes, challenge status quo, and develop tactful solutions that will be impactful to program goals. • Support internal audits to ensure quality and compliance are in accordance with client service instructions and performance expectations. • Partner with vendors to develop and/or update standard operating procedures that align with program goals. • Utilize and develop metrics to make data driven decisions for process evaluations and recommendations. Basic Qualifications • 10+ years’ experience handling auto liability and property damage claims • 6+ years’ claims leadership experience • 6+ years’ bodily injury and litigation experience • Valid Property & Casualty Adjuster’s License • Proven ability to lead projects while demonstrating forward thinking and a high level of initiative. • Ability to balance competing priorities while handling each with a level of urgency. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in written format. Preferred Qualifications • Fleet or commercial auto and general liability claims experience • International claims experience a plus • Organizational or operational oversight • ARM, AIC, CPCU, or similar designation • Available for domestic/international travel up to 25% Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
