UPMC Corporate is hiring a Senior Manager, Maintenance to join our team in Jamestown NY! This role will work the first shift, which is primarily 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. At times, the position will provide consulting and collaborative responsibilities at UPMC Kane as well.
The Senior Manager, directs all activities required to successfully maintain facilities operations and maintenance activity throughout UPMC and its entities, including contract negotiations, administration, project estimates, scheduling, and material acquisition. As the owner’s representative at various construction sites, directs and coordinates the activities of trade groups and sub-contractors in collaboration with the UPMC Construction Management Group.
The position works collaboratively with the other members of the facilities management team to direct programs involving maintenance of hospital buildings and grounds, equipment, air-conditioning and ventilating systems, and distribution lines for steam, gases, hot water, plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, and sanitation. The position also is responsible for the management of facilities and maintenance information systems as required to meet Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory standards. This includes preventive maintenance systems, building automated control systems, material management systems and financial systems.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for reinforcing the departments operating goals and objectives, managing all projects, and meeting all regulatory and compliance guidelines, including security permits, as necessary. He/she will maintain a current knowledge of internal and external regulations. Ensure all department policies and procedures, safety, training, information systems, working standards, etc., including ICRA procedures, are observed to ensure optimum efficiency. Coordinate and direct the efficient use of manpower, establishing and communicating daily work assignments to meet scheduled deadlines. Implement innovative scheduling strategies to maximize the use of available resources, coordinating with other departments, as needed. Represent UPMC and fulfill the duties of Project Safety Director for projects, ensuring proper Infection Control Risk Assessment containment (ICRA) and maintaining the integrity throughout the course of the project. In addition, verify that safety barriers and lighting are properly placed, attend all required safety meetings, act as liaison to the corporate insurance agent to ensure proper OSHA standards, inspect all project, shop, and storage areas for the safe operation of equipment and that all safety regulations are followed by staff and subcontractors, implementing corrective action as necessary. Represent the Department at project related meetings, including pre-construction and attend technical meetings for the purpose of reviewing job progress or issues at the job site. Communicate with Infection Control, Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Owner, Architects, and other various support departments to provide efficient interaction and necessary notifications. Investigate and respond to customer complaints in a timely manner. Ensure all projects are tracked via the TMS Work Order System and properly coded for labor reimbursement, as needed.
