The Sr. Manager Marketing Planning & Insights Role

 

The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning & Insights is a critical member of the Integrated Marketing Planning team, responsible for driving marketing planning cycles and delivering actionable insights to optimize marketing performance. This role bridges strategic planning and performance evaluation by partnering with Marketing Analytics, Integrated Marketing Operations, and global marketing teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives and pipeline/revenue goals.

This role is focused on the strategic aspects of marketing planning and performance, including enabling effective planning processes, defining measurable marketing targets, and shaping campaign structures, governance and reporting frameworks to drive better decision-making and maximize ROI.

Lead the development and facilitation of quarterly and annual integrated marketing planning exercises, ensuring alignment with pipeline and revenue goals.Support the creation and governance of planning models and frameworks to guide consistent, effective and scalable planning cycles.Partner with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in marketing planning processes and implement improvements that enhance campaign alignment with strategic objectives.Collaborate with Demand Operations as well as global and regional marketing teams to define marketing targets, aligning efforts with revenue goals and key business priorities.Define and influence reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with marketing targets, KPIs and metrics that matter.Partner with Marketing Analytics on reporting needs and dashboard enhancements that foster consistent measurement of marketing performance.

 

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

Analyze marketing performance against targets, delivering actionable insights to marketing leadership and key stakeholders.Conduct ROI evaluations for major marketing initiatives to identify opportunities for cost efficiency and improved campaign outcomes.Facilitate quarterly business reviews (QBRs) by synthesizing performance data and highlighting optimization opportunities.Collaborate closely with Operations and Analytics teams to influence campaign architecture that improves reporting accuracy and attribution. Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across marketing to align campaign and reporting structures and optimize campaign effectiveness.Act as the subject matter expert on marketing planning and performance, providing guidance to teams globally and regionally.Stay up to date on industry best practices for marketing planning and performance measurement.Identify gaps in current processes and work with teams to implement improvements.Support the implementation of tools, templates, and resources that enable scalable and efficient planning and reporting.

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred.Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics, planning cycles, and ROI analysis.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear, actionable manner.Experience with integrated marketing planning processes and frameworks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.Familiarity with marketing technology tools (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce) and analytics platforms (e.g. Qlik Sense).8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, business analysis, or performance management roles, preferably within enterprise software or a similar B2B environment.Proven ability to lead and influence global, cross-functional teams.Experience working in or alongside marketing operations, analytics, or campaign execution teams.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $108,960.00 USD MIN – 136,190.00MAX per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
