US Technology, Infrastructure & Innovation (US TI&I) enables the continuous transformation of our Bank by accelerating the shift to digital, strengthening operational resilience, simplifying what we do,
improving CIBC's speed to market and protecting our Bank's assets. The teams work to maximize the investment in resources and technology while building an appropriate
balance between high-touch client service and our fiduciary responsibility to protect CIBC, our clients, and our shareholders from undue risk.
 

What You'll Be Doing

Operations is comprised of Loan and Deposit Operations. Loan Operations provides operational support to core lines of business by delivering end-to-end loan and trade operations services, including loan closing, servicing and compliance functions. Deposit Operations supports commercial and consumer banking through the delivery of wire and ACH processing, item (check) processing, debit card services, fraud monitoring, client onboarding functions, and exception processing. 

The Senior Manager, Payments Risk & Governance will provide leadership and direction to the US Payments team that will run, protect and transform the bank to deliver on Payment Risk and Governance. 

How You'll Succeed

This leader must be a strong communicator and collaborator, focus on a reliable and resilient production environment to support client demands.

You will provide strong leadership and management that will meet strategic, transformational and tactical objectives for the division.

You will effectively run, protect and transform the division to meet the bank’s growth, regulatory, and complexity demands.

Measure results to assess performance relative to objectives.

You will lead and embrace a strong culture that includes an emphasis on communication, collaboration, process improvement, risk mindset, operational resilience, and being a champion for change.

You will ensure day-to-day activities are effectively managed, including implementing and adhering to policies and procedures.

Collaborate effectively with partners across TI&I and internal partners outside TI&I including, Treasury Management, all lines of business, HR, and Risk functions

Acquire and develop talent.

Embrace and promote a culture of inclusion.

Build strong relationships with enterprise/Canadian CIBC partners and align with appropriate enterprise standards and expectations.

You must have a desire for a flexible work schedule; which may include nights and weekends.

Who You Are

You have 10+ years of operations management experience with the proven ability to manage a team of employees and project management skills to lead and contribute to strategic projects.

You can demonstrate experience in leading an operations function within a large banking organization with extensive experience in ACH and Wire operations.

You have the ability to manage workload in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

“At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000- $150,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
