The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Payroll for Unity to lead our Americas Payroll team! You will lead a team of payroll professionals to ensure the successful delivery of multiple Payrolls. As the team leader you will be responsible for ensuring execution of team deliverables; compliance with tax regulations; approving the bi-weekly payrolls; managing workload and establishing priorities; hiring, training and employee development; and creating and monitoring performance metrics. This position will also act as an escalation point in resolving complex payroll issues with business partners. You will have the opportunity to drive measurable operational and automation enhancements, including partnering effectively with the company’s Accounting, Benefits, Equity, IT, Treasury, Finance, and HR teams to ensure payroll excellence.

What you'll be doing
Oversee the end-to-end payroll function for multiple geographies with a specific focus on the United States, Canada, and Colombia. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of payroll by leading a team of payroll specialists in processing payroll transactions such as new hires, leave of absences, RSU equity, terminations, employee changes and wage garnishments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial and other local laws. Define metrics for success and monitor adherence to KPIs.Compile and analyze payroll data providing regular reports to key partners such as HR, tax, and accounting teams Define the strategic priorities for the team in order to drive continuous process and system improvements. Lead accounting automation and process improvement projects. Accountable for providing direction and influencing stakeholders to ensure successful on-time execution Ensure SOX compliance and maintain internal controls for the respective areas of responsibility by monitoring/updating accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Develop a team culture that emphasizes customer service, accountability, quality, continuous improvement and high performance. Manage, train, and develop team members.What we're looking for
Extensive payroll expertise with a proven track record of handling increased responsibilities, including experience in leadership roles, preferably within public multinational corporations. Strong operational leader with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English Experience managing the execution of multiple payrolls with a focus on leading teams processing the payrolls for the United States and Canada. Proven ability to effectively work cross functionally with all levels of a company Ability to optimize existing processes, people and systems in order to enhance and standardize processes.
