**Title:** Senior Manager, Planning **Location:** United States-Kansas-Wellington **Job Number:** 15916 Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of parts, materials, and supplies, to support the efficient operation of the company. § Coordinates all activities related to procurement of material beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. § Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, confirms delivery, and maintains necessary records. § Monitors minimum/maximum levels of inventory and supplies to assure optimum on hand quantities to support repair, and new business needs. § Communicates with shop, engineering, accounting, inspection, shipping/receiving, finance and customer service personnel. § Performs other duties as assigned. **Ensures compliance with SOX process requirements & Finance policy manual** **Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be** **required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for** **those select positions. All inquiries related to citizenship are asked solely to comply with ITAR and EAR export licensing requirements.** **Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.** Qualifications: § Education/Training: + Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of successful experience at a professional level Purchasing § Thorough knowledge of: + Supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment, including job costing + Microsoft office basics + EAP Software Familiarize § Skill to: o Able to use basic accounting principles in relation to inventory and cost + Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations + Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables + Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions + Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals + Present information and respond to questions from management, customers and vendors + Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and to prepare analytical reports + Lead, mentor and coach Learn industry-related software We are an equal opportunity employer.
