We are seeking an experienced individual to serve as Senior Manager (Pricing-focus), Product Governance to conduct research and analysis related to mutual fund and ETF product proposals, with a specific focus on proposals that relate to fund pricing or have an impact on the funds’ expenses. This includes proposals for new funds, changes to funds, mergers, and liquidations. Reporting into a Vice President in Product Governance, you will enjoy exposure to a wide variety of projects spanning multiple asset classes. In this role, you will work closely with other product and investment professionals, operations teams and oversight partners to ensure that proposals are thoroughly researched and well designed to benefit fund shareholders.
You will ensure that product proposals, especially those presented to the Fidelity Fund Boards, are thoroughly vetted and compelling from a fund shareholder perspective. This will help ensure that our customers and the boards that oversee the funds continue to be well served by our investment offerings.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring5-8 years' success in the financial industry, with prior experience in fund accounting, fund administration, fund reporting or audit preferred.Technical knowledge of mutual funds and ETFs. Familiarity with Fidelity’s fund offerings is preferred. Knowledge of unregistered investment product structures and/or alternative investments is a plus.Understanding of mutual fund expense structures and contract arrangements.Cross-functional project management experience, as well as experience balancing multiple projects simultaneously.Research and data analysis, including fund expense projections, pro forma expense ratio impacts, ability to comprehend and synthesize fee information from regulatory filings (shareholder report, prospectus and statement of additional information), and assessment of competitor fees.Effective communicator who can absorb complex information and present it, orally and in writing, in a digestible, audience-friendly way.Ability to see the big picture and connect dots across projects, but with careful attention to detail, in order to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for resolution.Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and business partners to support Fidelity’s product strategy and drive results. Positive relationship building, interpersonal skills up and down the organization, and management decision support.Intellectual curiosity and self-motivation to learn and understand.
