About the team

The Strategic Partnerships team tackles partnerships that drive key growth areas for the business with impact across all segments. We are a small but mighty team in the Chief Strategy Office that works on Worldpay’s most important partnerships – analyzing where we need to partner, identifying and assessing key partnership opportunities, structuring commercial deals, and in where needed, managing partner relationships. This role will be focused on our Product Partnerships in particular, looking at partners who can bring additional capabilities to existing and new merchants through new and interesting technology and services which we will integrate into our own value-added services ecosystem.

What you’ll own

Develop and execute partner strategy: analyze internal capabilities and external market factors to determine where we need to partner, who to partner with, how to structure partnerships, etc.

Lead all aspects of deal execution with support: identifying and prioritizing targets, business case development, deal structuring, negotiating terms and contracts, and closing (and in some cases, making the decision not to proceed with a partner if it is not the right strategic priority for Worldpay)

Collaborate across segments: liaise with Product, Sales, Commercial and Strategy teams and other areas of the business to gather input and ensure alignment on the partners we pursue

Ensure the success of your partnerships and work with the partner and stakeholders at Worldpay to launch and grow the partnership. Ability to run partner projects, manage multiple deadlines and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to get partnerships executed would be key

Have the autonomy to explore other potential partnerships that can deliver additional capabilities to our existing suite of products and services, and hence additional value to our merchants

Where you’ll own it

You’ll own it in remotely!

What you bring

2-3+ years of partnership experience with a focus on executing partnership deals (preferred); Or, experience in sales in a business development or a relationship management role

A track record of signing and launching new partnerships with tangible business value and revenue impact

Strong aptitude for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of Worldpay as well as client/partner organizations

Payments industry experience is strongly preferred but can be substituted with product partnerships experience in tech / fin tech
