The **Senior Manager, Public Relations** is responsible for developing and implementing publicity strategies that drive business goals, build trust among key audiences, and spark conversation about the many offerings available across Walt Disney World Resort. The Senior Manager, Public Relations will also specialize in reaching key audiences and international markets, including Latin America, with a passion for strategic storytelling on behalf of the Resort and its many lines of business.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop comprehensive external communications and earned media strategies.
+ Provide leadership to teams consisting of managers and professional staff through the successful ideation, development, production, execution and analysis of reactive and proactive campaigns based on company and segment objectives.
+ Oversee complex campaigns, programs, stunts, and large-scale media events to drive business results, reputation, relevance, and earned media coverage.
+ Act as lead department contact for multiple lines of business, providing strategic counsel to internal and external clients, marketing partners and other stakeholders, as well as senior leadership.
+ Develop strategic plans that deliver on business goals and help drive buzz and coverage of priority programs and products.
+ Oversee strategic internal and external-facing strategies and activities, including annual integrated communication plans.
+ Coordinate site priorities with international public relations and marketing teams to ensure consistent and relevant promotion.
+ Responsible for departmental financial health, including forecasting, change management and prioritization of funds across multiple budgets.
+ Responsible for internal and external hiring and recruitment and retention strategies, including feedback and performance management.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or equivalent work experience, preferably with an emphasis in public relations.
+ 7+ years of public relations or communications experience with proven experience in earned and owned media. Experience with International Markets is a plus.
+ Skilled communicator and collaborator capable of working within a highly matrixed organization.
+ Fluency in both written and verbal English.
+ Strong leadership experience with established teams
+ Experience creating and leading global public relations and communication plans.
+ Strategic thinker, creative problem solver, and skilled media relations practitioner.
+ Able to develop strong, trusting relationships with team members and clients.
+ Exhibits strong communication skills and an ability to work with others who may have diverse communication and work styles.
+ Flexibility, resourcefulness, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing and growing environment.
+ Acts as a brand ambassador and embodies Disney culture and values in all aspects of their work.
+ Excellent writing and storytelling, presentation, and research skills, with an understanding of how to effectively communicate to different audiences.
+ Experience managing projects and campaign initiatives with an understanding of overarching goals, objective, and relevant considerations.
+ Understands the media landscape and experience working with media.
+ Knowledge and experience with a variety of social media platforms/content creation.
+ Trusted to maintain confidential information.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Disney operational knowledge or experience.
+ Passion for the Disney brand.
+ Fluency in written and verbal Spanish and/or Portuguese.
+ Experience with a Fortune 500 company.
+ Experience with retail or consumer products.
+ Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
