Senior Manager, Regional Safety - Coppell

Responsible for the oversight and implementation of company environmental, health and safety programs and procedures for all business units and facilities within the Region that complies with company policies, industry regulatory requirements including reporting . Oversees accident data compilation, abatement, record keeping, safety communication and awareness, safety programs and field system and facility audits.


Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Support the front-line leadership across all business units within the region and creating an environmentally conscious and safe culture and influencing changes in the safety environment.Responsible for hiring, training, development and performance management of staff.Collaborate with HR leadership and the Corporate Director of Safety to ensure DOT processes and required documentation is in place within the Region.Identify needs and partner with Corporate Director of Safety to create policies and/or procedures that comply with federal, state and local rules and regulations for environmental, health and safety.Ensure consistency throughout the Region in all aspects of safety, including training, compliance and procedures.Effectively communicate to all levels of management across all business units within the region, regarding current performance, potential hazards, serious incidents, and changes to guidelines affecting safety and environmental policies and procedures; provide guidance and recommendations for solutions on any identified deficiencies.Monitor safety training programs and ensure effectiveness; engage training team for suggestions on refresher and re-training sessions.Oversee the maintenance of safety records, required annual reporting and other related documentation for the Region. May assist with annual environmental reporting requirements.Oversee safety audit program for the Region to document compliance to standards and safety program effectiveness.Point of contact for external inquiries related to safety and compliance matters, working closely with appropriate leadership and the Corporate Director of Safety.Coordinate safety events, evaluations, program deployment, and other related activities.Collaborate with other corporate groups as necessary to address compliance issues.Perform other duties as requested by manager.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to use personal computer and software applicationsAbility to work independentlyAbility to safely use weight-bearing equipment (such as, safety harness and ladders) within the maximum weight limitationsAbility to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devicesAbility to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 60 pounds)Ability to utilize photography equipmentAbility to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weatherAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to effectively communicate at all levelsKnowledge of fire prevention programsKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulationsKnowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods for safety managementKnowledge of safety auditing, accident investigation and reportingKnowledge of company products and servicesEffective analytical skillsValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standards

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health or related field, or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Safety administration experience - 6+Management experience - 3+Industry and vendor specific certifications and training [Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Manager (CSM), or Certified Safety & Health Officer (CSHO)]

Industry experience

Safety-related government agency experience, including representing company in informal and formal environments concerning citations, complaints, audits and accident investigationsOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Department of Transportation (DOT) experience
