Position Overview

Zelis is seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Senior Manager, Research and Competitive Intelligence to join our growing marketing research / intelligence team.  This position will manage and support both primary research projects as well as be point person for competitive intelligence.   Must have at least three years’ experience managing primary research projects, either on client or vendor side, as well as some experience curating competitive intelligence data.  Healthcare experience as well as B2B research experience is a plus.

What You’ll Do 

Leverage technical expertise to create and program surveys, ranging from simple to moderately complex, using DIY survey platforms. Ensure data accuracy throughout the fielding process and after collection.

Curate and integrate data from multiple sources, extracting key insights and presenting them in a clear, concise report format.

Manage multiple projects independently (with some support), ensuring they stay on track, meet deadlines, and remain within budget constraints.

Oversee external research vendors, managing project timelines, deliverables, and ensuring smooth collaboration.

Apply strong analytical skills to interpret survey data and communicate findings to internal clients effectively.

Present data visually in a clear and impactful way, ensuring that internal stakeholders can easily digest the results.

Contribute to the strategic development of projects, programs, and long-term objectives, playing a key role in the broader success of the team and organization.

Work autonomously on long-term initiatives, occasionally leading or mentoring others in processes and tasks.

Proactively identify and address issues, suggesting innovative solutions to leadership when necessary.

Share information with some guidance and engage primarily with internal and external colleagues to facilitate smooth project execution.

Take initiative within established guidelines, reviewing and refining processes, making recommendations for improvements. Contribute to the company’s knowledge base and collaborate with team members to support organizational goals.

50% Primary Marketing Research: Lead project management efforts for marketing research, including survey programming, data cleaning, and drafting topline and summary reports.

50% Competitive Intelligence/Secondary Research: Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding competitive intelligence. Maintain and update the intelligence database, identify knowledge gaps, summarize findings, and regularly publish updates for internal teams.

The allocation of time between these responsibilities is an estimate and may fluctuate based on project workload.

Collaborate closely with analysts based in our India office to support research and reporting efforts.

What You’ll Bring to Zelis  

Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is plus 

At least three years’ experience in primary marketing research  

Some experience in competitive intelligence
