What is the Opportunity?
This position is part of RBC Bank’s Chief Controls Office and is responsible for developing and providing 1LoD Risk reporting for RBC Bank’s risk programs. This role will aggregate data across RBC Bank’s 1LoD to show a holistic risk view of issues, key risk indicators, control testing results and the overall status of control office activities for senior management and committees. The position will manage and monitoring key risk indicators for 1LoD and provide escalate as appropriate. This role also will provide support for audit and regulatory exam requests. In addition to aligning with enterprise-wide programs, the Risk & Controls Reporting 1LoD will also ensure alignment with FFIEC, OCC, and FRB regulatory expectations.
What will you do?
Develop, enhance and maintain 1LOD Risk reporting to management and senior level risk committees ensuring consistency and transparency
Work with multiple business units and systems to aggregate and analyze risk data and information
Partner with issues management team and risk leads to prepare holistic issues reporting to support governance needs
Consolidate 1LoD reporting for board and management risk committees for RBC Bank
Provide risk reporting and support across the broader RBC Bank Chief Controls Office team
Measure and report on RBC Bank’s 1LoD Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in alignment with risk appetite metrics and escalate breaches
Hold workshops with various business partners on KRIs and reporting needs
Coordinate with various risk leaders across RBC to fulfill reporting requirements
Assist with the development of new reporting utilizing Tableau/Power BI
Serve as the point of contact for internal audit and regulatory exam requests including documentation collection and tracking
Document and maintain procedural documentation
Develop and maintain trusted relationships across RBC Bank to ensure a strong risk culture
What do you need to succeed?
Knowledge of risk management methodologies and US financial industry regulations (OCC, FDIC, FRB)
Demonstrated ability to design, develop and produce reporting for senior management including messaging/storytelling
Experience using data aggregation and analysis tooling such as Tableau, PowerBI, Python, SQL, Excel
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
Experience using Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems such as Archer
Strategic mindset and effective collaboration skills
Experience working in a complex, matrix environment and proactively managing a diverse set of stakeholders
Self-motivation, discipline and ability to meet strict deadlines
