As the Sr. Manager of Software Engineering on our team, you will be responsible for leading several teams of developers working across varying projects in helping build Disney’s media supply chain. As their leader, you will mentor and guide, as well as assist in the tactical execution at the ground level. You are still expected to have a deep understanding of the technology we build, and the tools we use to do so. You will participate in code reviews and help with larger architectural decision making, while also managing the operations of your teams.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

Passion for leadership and relationship building across cross-functional teamsExperience in delivering platform services in cloud environments using open-source technologies Ability to make decisions about technical best practices and your team’s operational processBe practical and personable with strong communication and writing skillsGood understanding of agile software development methodologiesExperience building multiple concurrent projects of high technical complexityMinimum 10 years of experience building complex platform applications at scale or other relevant experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience demonstrating an expert level understanding of software development and infrastructure

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
