JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Drives development, testing, deployments, and iterative improvement of product capabilities and features in collaboration with peers across Design, Product Management, and EngineeringLeverages critical thinking, experimentation, data, and industry best practices to implement desired business outcomesDevelops high quality applications that are secure, easy to operate, difficult to break, and extremely observable with measurable results.Responsible for all technical aspects of the product application lifecycle including, code, infrastructure, data, security, and CICDEstablishes product engineering and software standardsSets vision and drives cultural transformation within the team and across the organizationLeads technical initiatives across the organizationUtilizes technical background to coach others through empathy and hands-on mentoringManages multiple groups of engineers while embedded on a team as an individual contributorEffectively balances time between individual contribution and managementAcquires, retains, and develops top and diverse talent

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field8+ years of experience in software development4+ years of progressive management experience, developing and attracting multiple diverse teamsExpert ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesSuccessful transformation of technical leadership into people leadershipExpert knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture,database schemas, and testing strategiesProven experience with large scale application troubleshooting and performance tuningProven experience working with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)Expert knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven developmentExtreme Programming (XP), TDD, PP, CI/CDSpring/Java heavy backend, Kotlin/Android and traditional RDBC and Redis DB heavy.Kafka
