From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

As a stakeholder engagement advisor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and facilitating collaboration to support our mission-critical objectives while driving proactive business outcomes.

As a stakeholder engagement advisor, you will…

Foster positive relationships between the company and its stakeholders, enhancing trust and collaboration in support of brand reputation. Effectively communicate with stakeholders, navigating complex and challenging topics and representing holistic Starbucks perspectives while understanding the external policy and political landscape.  Enhance brand reputation efforts across federal, state, local, and global stakeholders, ensuring brand protection, advancement, and alignment to support growth efforts. Gather valuable insights and feedback, helping the company understand stakeholder needs and preferences, which informs decision-making and strategy. Take the initiative to define and implement stakeholder response strategies across states. Represent Starbucks’ views with trade associations, consultants, and clients. Prepare briefing and presentation materials for engagements with stakeholders. Measure ROI and effectiveness of stakeholder management efforts. This position supports various Starbucks cross-functional teams, so flexibility and collaboration are essential attributes.

We’d love to hear from people with:

5-10 years of experience leading stakeholder engagement-related programs, complex projects, and cross-functional teams. Experience across federal, state, local, and global stakeholders. Strong understanding of government affairs and policy. A 4-year degree is preferred, and a graduate degree or certification is valued.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
