Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Merchandising or relevant field study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

7+ years of retail merchandising management, execution experience requiredDemonstrated track record of applying creative merchandising skills to drive business results

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and externalAnalytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skillsProvide superior customer service, demonstrating sound logic and judgmentConsistently operate with the highest level of discernment and confidentialityAbility to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively react and resolve conflictProficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, Power Point

Responsibilities:

Oversee team that monitors and supports stores in execution of overall standardized merchandise processes in partnership with key stakeholdersCollaborate with Regional Merchant, Marketing, Merchants, Planning & Replenishment to provide feedback on various category planogram sets throughout the yearIdentify opportunities to improve merchandising and execution in stores and implement proven and measurable solutions to drive sales and improve efficienciesOutline strategy and set direction for team in developing memos, supporting seasonal game plans and implementing merchandising strategiesPartner with Risk Management and Communications to support stores in the execution of business continuity proceduresSupport execution of hot market and licensed products in partnership with MerchantsManage and oversee store services and vendor relationshipsResponsible for managing and controlling expenses and budgetMotivates and develops teamDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rulesResponsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned

Able to travel and/or work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as neededAcceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job dutiesAdhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
