The Enterprise Communication team at Stanley Black & Decker serves as a global center of excellence for internal and executive communications, branding and reputation, and employee engagement. The team partners with business units and functions to support strategic objectives and ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, members of the media and community partners.
The Job:
As the Senior Manager, Strategic Support for Global Supply Chain Communications, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing strategic communications that shape and drive the global supply chain’s mission and priorities. Working closely with the Global Supply Chain leadership team, you’ll be responsible for orchestrating the flow of critical information across the supply chain organization, supporting top-tier initiatives, and advancing key programs that are essential to business success. In addition, you’ll work on special projects and high-impact communication efforts to reinforce the strategic direction of the global supply chain function.
As a Senior Manager, you’ll be part of our Enterprise Communications team, working as a hybrid employee in our Towson office 3 days per week. Valley City, OH and New Britain, CT are also onsite options.

Strategic Communication Development: Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain leadership team to craft and communicate key messages that support the organization’s vision, priorities, and objectives. This includes shaping narratives that resonate with internal stakeholders and reflect the strategic direction of the supply chain function.Support Top-Tier Initiatives and Programs: Provide dedicated communication support for top-tier initiatives and programs that are essential to business success. This includes partnering with program leaders to develop communication strategies, key messages, and engagement tactics to drive alignment and awareness across the organization.Manage Information Flow Across the Organization: Act as a central hub for communication within the supply chain organization, ensuring that critical information reaches relevant teams in a timely and consistent manner. Establish and maintain streamlined processes to support clear, effective, and cohesive communication across regions, functions, and business units.Advocate for Key Business-Critical Functions and Initiatives: Act as a communication champion for the initiatives and functions that are most critical to the success of the business. Develop targeted communication plans that highlight the impact of these initiatives and engage stakeholders across various levels of the organization.Support Business Transformation and Change Management: Play a critical role in driving communication efforts that support business transformation initiatives, particularly those focused on driving the evolution of the supply chain’s strategy. Implement progressive change management strategies to engage employees and reinforce a unified supply chain identity.Lead Special Projects: Take ownership of special communication projects that support the strategic goals of the global supply chain. These may include transformation initiatives, cross-functional collaboration efforts, or change management communications aimed at advancing the organization’s capabilities.Content Creation and Delivery: Create and deliver high-quality, engaging content across multiple channels, including internal announcements, presentations, videos, graphic materials, and digital assets. This includes developing talking points, scripts, and other communication tools for senior leaders to ensure message alignment and impact.Collaborate with Communication Partners: Work closely with communication counterparts across the company to align on messaging, share best practices, and support a unified approach to supply chain communication across all business units.The Person:

Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field6-8 years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility in Communications, Marketing, or related field, with demonstrated experience leveraging communication tools to support key strategic initiatives (experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred)Manufacturing experience highly preferredProven experience in a strategic communication role, ideally within a large, global, matrixed organization, with a focus on supply chain, operations, or a related field.Strong understanding of how to manage information flow and communication needs within a complex organizational structure.Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and impactful content.Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic environment.The Details:

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $91,000-$164,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
