Position: Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management
Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Develop informative and intuitive data visualizations to make highly visible and big impact decisions within Walmart’s transportation organization. Solve problems within the Ambient and Perishable inbound transportation organization. Track monetary spend data to optimize operations using complex data modelling. Lead new product development initiatives to digitally transform the transportation technology within Walmart. Create data links between Walmart and its third party logistics partners via API and EDI. Design and implement inbound cargo prioritization strategies to alleviate port congestion. Work with the U.S. Department of Transportation on their Freight Logistics Optimization Works (FLOW) initiative by developing models that submit inbound Walmart cargo volume for better utilization of port and transportation resources. Deliver global logistics data visualization projects and provide valuable insights to the leadership. Collaborate with ocean carriers, dray carriers, and third parties to successfully transport multi-million-dollar cargo. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field and 2 years of experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field and 4 years of experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area.
Skills required: Experience creating Business Intelligence Dashboards using Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder. Experience using Alteryx and Dataiku to create prioritization and forecasting flows. Experience writing complex queries and stored procedures using SQL. Experience managing and analyzing data using enterprise data warehouse software. Experience designing REST API Web Services using Java and Postman. Experience with the Agile product development process. Experience with product functional testing. Experience with Product Wireframing using tools LucidChart and Miro. Experience testing REST API Web Services using SoapUI and Postman. Experience designing relational databases using Toad for DB2, MySQL, and JDBC. Experience programming using Spring Boot and Spring MVC frameworks. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $119,600/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
