Senior Manager, Supply Chain Optimization

Responsible for serving as a key strategic role, working across Transportation, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Finance, and Category Management teams to lead data-driven decision-making and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations from supplier to customer.  Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels throughout the entire value chain network.  Build and lead a team of Supply Chain Optimization Analysts and Specialists.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize the complete supply chain flow from supplier integration through customer delivery.

Develop and maintain optimization models to support strategic decision-making across supply chain functions, including supplier management and customer service metrics.

Collaborate with Finance teams to analyze cost drivers, develop business cases, and track ROI on supply chain initiatives. Coordinate with Finance to establish and track supply chain cost allocation methodologies related to defined solutions.

Partner with Category Management teams to support data-driven supply chain decisions and negotiations.

Design and implement processes to improve Supply Chain efficiency across the supplier-to-customer network.

Create financial models and scenarios to evaluate supply chain optimization opportunities.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement through data analysis and process optimization.

Assess organizational needs, define team structure and build out a supply chain optimization team as the function expands. Create standardized processes and documentation to support team scalability.

Develop and mentor team members while establishing clear roles and responsibilities.

Solutions require analysis and investigation.

Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Hybrid and Remote Opportunities Available Based on Location. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work 2x a week in our new Headquarters.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience building an analytics or optimization function from the ground up.  Success in establishing and scaling operational teams.  Experience managing performance and development of technical professionals.Strong understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methods.  Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.  Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics. Understanding of financial modeling and working capital management.Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.Certification in Supply Chain Management (CPIM, CSCP, or similar).  Experience with supply chain optimization software.Overnight travel may be up to 25%.This is a Hybrid position based in our Doraville, GA Field Support Center.
