The opportunity:
Smurfit WestRock is looking for a progressive, creative, Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead high volume hourly recruiting in assigned business function(s) such as Consumer Packaging, Container Packaging and Mill Operations. This role is right for you if you want to be challenged to define, develop & implement recruitment strategy that will continue to fuel WestRock\u2019s growth. You\u2019ll be a Strategic Business Partner, Change Agent, & HR Business Partner all rolled into one!
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
\u2022 Collaborates with HR Business Partners to provide strategic support of business growth through workforce planning, position profiling, sourcing strategies, and consulting on selection & fit with a focus on hourly recruiting.
\u2022 Functions as an external employment market expert, advising on trends and availability of talent in identified markets as well as hiring needs and recruiting practices of talent competitors.
\u2022 Continues to innovate strategy by leveraging available tools to include social media, company website, job boards and team member ownership and engagement in process.
\u2022 Develops and executes recruiting strategies with emphasis on speed, quality, diversity, innovation, process efficiency and candidate and client experience.
\u2022 Effectively brand WestRock to candidates by providing compelling information about the company\u2019s strategy, capabilities, performance, and employment value proposition.
\u2022 Responsible for creating a positive client experience through successful management of the interview and selection process, which includes facilitation of strategic sourcing sessions, pre-interview calibrations, and post-interview debriefs.
\u2022 Partners with teammates globally to facilitate sharing of regional knowledge and awareness of positions.
\u2022 Analyzes recruiting data and internal recruiting performance metrics to assess effectiveness & recommend improvements to the recruitment process, tools, or strategy.
What you need to succeed:
\u2022 BA or BS degree in business, HR, or related field
\u2022 10 plus years of Corporate Recruiting or Agency experience
\u2022 Proven experience with diverse recruiting strategies.
\u2022 Must possess strong business acumen and the ability to develop a deep understanding of strategic business priorities, success drivers in the organization, and understanding of the business model and functional operations.
\u2022 A broad understanding of various HR Delivery Models and ability to act as a steward to support various processes critical to the WestRock model.
\u2022 Ability to analyze data and synthesize research to make strategic recommendations balanced with sound judgment and ability to tailor solutions and tools appropriately to unique situations.
\u2022 Ability to influence stakeholders, clients, and candidates.
