The Senior Manager, Value Evidence and Outcomes (VEO) - Strategic Innovation position reports into U.S. Medical Affairs. The Senior Manager is responsible for working closely with various internal and external teams such as Field Medical Affairs, Medical Directors, Global Health Economics Value and Outcomes, Market Access, Internal Review Team, Marketing, Government Affairs, accreditation organizations, external vendors, and Brand Teams. The Senior Manager will lead and collaborate to help ensure data generation and associated strategy for the value-based healthcare marketplace by developing and executing tactics and story development that integrates U.S. Payer landscape dynamics, health economics, real world evidence (RWE) and U.S. market access solutions for assigned therapeutic areas. In addition, this position will be a part of the relations development, Insights, and deliverables in the areas of Payers, Health Care Institutions, Long Term Care, Quality Metrics, Social Determinants of Health, and Government Affairs.        

How you’ll spend your day

Duties and Responsibilities:


⦁    Plan, generate and deliver strategic initiatives and resources to demonstrate the value, evidence, and outcomes of select Teva products to payers, healthcare institutions and population health decision makers
⦁    Partner with multiple internal & external stakeholders to deliver results aligned to the business strategy
⦁    Manage research activities that include but are not limited to burden of illness, retrospective database studies, value messaging, and interpretation of economic endpoints
⦁    Ensure US Medical and Market Access requirements are understood and build value propositions and resources that reflect the needs of critical stakeholders
⦁    Partner with Field VEOs, Medical Science and Clinical Science Liaisons and utilize key insights to ensure value messages are clearly cascaded and supported by appropriate strategies, tools and evidence
⦁    Serve as a leader for driving development and execution of strategic and tactical plan for the assigned therapeutic area
⦁    Proactively identify and solve gaps in product value proposition utilizing innovative methods and approaches to think beyond current solutions
⦁    Collaborate with Medical, GHEVO, Market Access, Government Affairs and Brand to identify evidentiary requirements and potential barriers to access
⦁    Serve as a member and contributor to various cross-functional teams, providing functional expertise, leadership, and actively contribute to the planning process
⦁    Be accountable for the development, management and tracking of goals, objectives, and budgets

 

Travel 
Requires approximately 15% overnight travel with several night and/or weekend activities

 

The ideal candidate will be able to work onsite out of the West Chester, PA or Parsippany, NJ site, with the potential for remote work.

Your experience and qualifications

⦁    Strong science/clinical background with advanced degree (PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP)
⦁    Minimum of 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
⦁    Experience in health outcomes and or life sciences
⦁    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
⦁    Depth and breadth of experience to address external US payer environmental challenges and develop value evidence generation strategies that will meet decision maker’s needs
⦁    Proven ability to motivate and collaborate with both internal and external teams
⦁    Sound organizational and project management skills which focus on delivery of results

 

Preferred Qualifications
⦁    Knowledgeable about health care accreditation organizations such as Joint Commission, NCQA and other similar organizations
⦁    Knowledgeable about Federal and or State Government Affairs, pharmaceutical management, and related policies
⦁    Technical knowledge in key areas including economic modeling and database studies
⦁    Ability to effectively lead and influence in a matrix team environment
⦁    Understanding of pricing and reimbursement across multiple sites of care
⦁    Strategic thinker who can frame complex problems and articulate clear, data-driven recommendations
