Senior Manager, Workday Implementation
Position Summary

Work you’ll do:

As a Senior Manager in our Workday Financial Solutions practice, you will lead transformative projects that integrate Workday's advanced financial systems into our clients' core business processes. This role is tailored for seasoned leaders who have held high-level finance positions and possess deep experience in Workday financial implementations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between finance and technology, delivering solutions that are both strategically sound and technically feasible.

Responsibilities:

Leadership in Workday Financial Implementations: Direct the planning and execution of Workday Financials deployments, ensuring alignment with client financial strategies and operational needs.Strategic Financial Transformation: Utilize Workday’s multi-dimensional data model to revolutionize client financial processes, enhancing functionality and business insight.Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Serve as the senior point of contact for client stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts into actionable technology-driven solutions.Project Management Excellence: Oversee project lifecycles, from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, scope, and timeline while delivering high-quality outcomes.Innovation and Thought Leadership: Drive innovation within the practice by mentoring team members and leading internal initiatives to develop new capabilities and enhance service offerings.Financial and Operational Analysis: Provide expert analysis and advice on financial management, process optimization, and system integration to support client decision-making at the executive level.

Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.

The Emerging ERP Solutions practice helps implement cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications such as Workday Financials and Infor. Teams support finance and supply-chain transformations where the software is a true enabler of process change and cost reduction.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a high-level finance role (e.g., CFO, Controller, VP of Finance).Extensive experience with Workday Financials, including hands-on implementation and optimization.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage comprehensive ERP projects, particularly involving Workday.Proven capability in managing senior stakeholder relationships and leading strategic discussions.Willingness to travel as needed based on project requirements and client locations.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

Active Workday Financials certification.Previous consulting experience, particularly in technology-driven business transformations.Experience in industries such as healthcare, higher education, or government services.
