Key Responsibilities:The Senior Manager - Meetings and Events is responsible for developing, leading and implementing the events strategy for United for Business internal and customer events. This role runs a wide range of events, from large-scale worldwide internal events like the Worldwide Commercial Conference, to supporting the field in executing small regional customer events. This position is also responsible for building out the event technology, processes, and impact measurement to enable the efficient management of this large portfolio of events.
Develop the overall event strategy and calendar for United for Business (including internal and external events) aligning to overall business objectives and tracking performance against those within the allocated budget Lead a team of event professionals to ensure successful end-to-end execution of United for Business events, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and procurement of services Build event technology capabilities and processes to optimize the event planning and execution process for both the United for Business marketing team and the Sales team, generating and gathering data to measure ROI Partner with the United for Business marketing team to ensure that key marketing messages and communication objectives are built into the external event strategy Support the development of the internal event agenda, sourcing speakers and coordinating content hand off to the production company. This includes frequent interaction with officers and e-team members for briefing, content review, and logistics coordination Coordinate with other event leads at United to identify alignments and avoid event conflictsNOTE: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with in-office requirements 50% of the time in Chicago, IL. This role will also travel up to 30% of the time.
