Our United Express team selects and manages our airline partners and ground handlers that carry the United Express name, ensuring a safe and profitable operation, and providing flights to smaller communities across the entire country.
Key Responsibilities:United Express is a part of United with a fleet of more than 500 regional aircraft operated by many partners. Having visibility and being able to influence and coordinate the engineering and maintenance activities for that fleet is essential for the operational and financial performance of United. This position will work within the UAX TechOps team and will partner with, TechOps, Network and Procurement on all the topics associated with the Engineering projects and Engine Maintenance of Uniteds regional fleet.
Develop and maintain good partnership with the TechOps organizations of the Regional Operators; Collaborate with partners to develop efficient engine shop visit plans and strategies, improving engine utilization, minimizing engine down time and overall costMaintain awareness of current and future engine removal and repair strategies and plans; Provide insight to United regarding engine maintenanceResponsible for identifying trends and opportunities to improve all regional engine maintenance activities focusing on aspects such as reliability, cost, aircraft down-time, spares coverage and othersLead weekly/periodic calls with partners powerplant teams on all major activitiesReview engineering initiatives at partners engineering organization with the safety, compliance, and the return on investment lensCollaborate with OEMs on evaluating and incorporating engineering initiatives and standard processes at partnersSupport Uniteds procurement organizations to support the partners in finding the most effective and efficient Powerplant maintenance and or engineering solutions with OEMs and/or MROsSupport the UAX finance team in the development of accurate financial projections for all engine maintenance related activitiesLeverage Uniteds TechOps organization to provide input to regional operators to improve reliabilityFind your future at United We’re reinventing what our industry looks like, and what an airline can be – from the planes we fly to the people who fly them.
