Position Summary: The Senior Manager - Advanced Sourcing, Display & Optical Commodity, plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology procurement strategy to meet the evolving needs of Visteon and its customers. By synthesizing feedback from Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs) and stakeholders, this role crafts a cohesive and strategic approach to sourcing within their sub-category. The focus is on identifying and collaborating with suppliers that fulfill rigorous technology and pricing objectives, fostering an environment of competition and innovation. This role is integral in supplier development, leading negotiations, and assessing strategic opportunities to enhance Visteon's position in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for the Display & Optical commodity, aligning with both technical and commercial goals. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring they meet Visteon's standards for quality, cost, delivery, and innovation. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and technological advancements. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment between supplier capabilities and Visteon product requirements. Drive negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and performance from suppliers. Facilitate the sourcing board's decisions by providing detailed analyses and recommendations. Develop and maintain KPIs and scorecards for measuring supplier performance and contribution to Visteon’s strategic objectives. Engage stakeholders across the organization to ensure procurement strategies support overall business goals. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, enhancing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with a focus on the automotive or technology sectors. Demonstrated knowledge of display technologies and the optical product market, with a strong network of supplier contacts. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of driving strategy and delivering results. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Agile and adaptable, with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving industry. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Reporting Structure: The Senior Manager- Advanced Sourcing Display & Optical Commodity will report to the Commodity Director.
