The Core Data team is currently seeking a talented Senior Manager to build out R | V Tech's Modern Analytics Platform and the community with Hex. This newly created Joint Venture is seeking a Senior Manager role who exemplifies: Expertise, Enablement, Empowerment, and Servant Leadership. This role will also focus on establishing patterns that scale across R | V Tech, enriching the long-term vision for consolidation and deprecation of legacy tools like Tableau and PowerBI while also maintaining the data & analytics platform that supports the company's data-driven culture. Responsibilities Being a Servant Leader: Leading the design, development, and maintenance of a modern analytics tooling & reporting ecosystem, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization. Analytics Tooling Ecosystem Oversight: Ensuring robust integration upstream with the data catalog, and downstream with business users. Implementation Manager: Ensuring the best practices in integration and architecture to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability. Being an Industry Expert: Staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering and analytics, integrating relevant technologies and methodologies into the ecosystem. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with R | V Tech Teams, Data Platform teams, and stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data governance, security, and quality standards are upheld. Qualifications Required: Office Location Requirement: Ability to work from R | V Tech’s Palo Alto Office in the Bay Area at least three days per week is required for this role. Work From Home: Ability to work from home two days a week is supported as well. On-Call: Participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional weekends, late nights, and holidays, to resolve critical production issues is also required. Education: At least a Bachelor’s Degree is required for this role. Experience: At least 2 years of leadership experience managing or guiding technical teams is also needed for this role. Skills: Direct experience building with best-in-class modern data tools. Business Intelligence, Dashboard, & Data Visualization Reporting Tool experience with Tableau, Power BI, Preset, or Hex. Strong Coding skills in Python, Java, Scala, R, SQL, or any commonly used in analytics and data science. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Proactive commitment to staying updated with modern data practices and philosophies. Knowledge of data governance, data security, and data quality best practices. Passion for training and enablement to foster an expanding data community. Platform Experience is also needed for this role in order to effectively contribute both individually and collaboratively within the role. Preferred Skills: Education: Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred, but not required. Skills: Domain expertise in automotive and/or manufacturing industries is advantageous, but not required. Passionate about Data while equally as focused on empowering, training and developing others.
