Job Purpose: Lead the Asset Care operations at plant by driving effective equipment maintenance and upkeep, budgeting and monitoring efficiencies, conducting capex project planning and execution, and supporting TPM implementation on-site while adhering to laid down internal and regulatory compliances and guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilities Budgeting and Efficiencies
Understand month-wise production plan from Cluster/HO and determine estimated efficiencies (based on previous year consumption figures) across all utilities. Coordinate with plant leadership team, cluster leadership and HO teams on budgeted efficiencies and obtain feedback and approvals. Lead daily tracking of efficiencies and identify gaps/issues; Address such gaps/issues on-site by deploying TPM tools for resolution and minimizing losses.
Plant Maintenance Management
Determine list of ‘critical’ equipment from list of overall equipment on site; Develop robust preventive maintenance plans for the equipment based on OEM guidelines and history of equipment performance/failure. Determine overall preventive maintenance for all equipment and draw up the R&M budget for the Ellora plant; Share with relevant stakeholders for feedback and approvals. Lead team in implementing preventive maintenance plans, track budgetary spend and address deviations as required. Lead team in conducting effective planning and budgeting for stores management based on plant maintenance requirements.
Capex Planning and Execution
Engage with the HODs to understand capex requirements for smooth and efficient brewery operations. Define projects, estimate budget and develop feasibility plans for further discussion with the HO and Brewery Leadership Team for prioritization and approvals. Engage with the HO Engineering & Projects team for technical expertise on design, planning and budgeting of approved Capex projects. Define milestones and timelines. Guide team for implementation and track progress for timely completion within set budgets Support P&L team by conducting technical evaluation of vendors for capex projects. Provide oversight on daily operations of vendors, monitor adherence to laid down SLAs and resolve issues during implementation. Drive closure activities for completed capex projects across system updation, approvals etc. Validate KPIs achieved by the project in collaboration with the end-user on site Coordinate with Finance team for fixed asset number generation, PO closure and payments to vendors etc.
Compliances and Regulatory Interaction
Lead team to support conduct of all internal and external audits by providing data/information and explanations sought by auditors Review non-compliances and observations made during audits; Conduct root-cause analysis, and implement suitable resolution possible Coordinate with regulatory agencies (like IBR, PESO etc.) for license extensions and approvals Coordinate with water supply board, for proper billing in line actual consumption numbers at the site Support other unit departments in driving adherence to other compliances and guidelines (e.g. building stability tests)
TPM and Process Improvements
Lead the Daily Control System meeting with operators on understanding shop-floor context, constraints and issues being faced Participate in plant leadership meetings to suitably address shop floor challenges from an asset care perspective by implementing corrective actions (under the TPM methodology) Keep abreast of external best practices, statutory and legal landscape, emerging technologies and new processes and systems to help identify opportunities for improvement and automation Guide team to methodically review existing losses and efficiencies and identify changes that can positively impact carbon footprint, thermal/power consumption etc.
Team Management
Plan manpower requirements and make hiring decisions for team. Define targets/set goals, allocate responsibilities and conduct performance appraisals against set targets for team members. Provide guidance and support to ensure adequate skills and competencies are developed in the team. Take responsibility to ensure that the team imbibes the committed UBL values and culture.
