Ensures team is maintaining appropriate industry relationships, conducting analysis, and gathering internal & external voice of customer inputs. Builds and maintains collaborative internal relationships cross-functionally, including leadership. The Senior Manager Business Strategy Analysis for International Markets will drive a competitive network-oriented product and capability roadmap for our international businesses, supporting the Diners Club and Network Alliances for the Payments organization globally. This role will support planning activities to create new products, capabilities, and platforms following product development lifecycle principles. This role will help influence the holistic, cross-functional roadmap for the credit, debit and prepaid offerings to international client, including issuers, acquirers, merchants, and digital enablers. The Senior Manager will collaborate with the network functions, including relationship managers, operational account executives, and product delivery teams to prioritize demand based on business rationale, and will partner with the functional Product and Platform teams to influence functional roadmaps, and drive execution across the cross-functional partners to deliver on the overall roadmap. Develop and coaches' teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee. **How You'll Do It** + Develops strategic product road maps for a broad range of critical products. Owns product strategies and contributes to the development of Payments business goals. Responsible for prioritization of the product roadmaps while balancing trade-offs for effective and scaled market delivery, in support of market needs and business goals. Drives customer value through well-defined products. Collaborate internally within Payments to ensure products are aligned with and support overall Payments goals. + Influences and makes decisions to ensure work is prioritized and completed in the most value-added order. Partners with technology and cross-functional business stakeholders to set, prioritize, and deliver shared business goals. Primary stakeholders within domain value stream can span across multiple stakeholder organizations. + Leverages trust with peers and partners across multiple functions to ensure continued product development with minimal issues. Work with internal and external partners to enhance products, improve the user experience and drive business value for our customers. Cultivate and influence best practices among partners in all aspects of product management. Enhances existing processes and customize where necessary to support the international business model, to improve the organization’s ability to deliver optimized product roadmaps. + Leverages knowledge of the market to proactively identify opportunities. Looks ahead to anticipate changes in marketplace, regulatory, and business needs and incorporate into product roadmaps. Evaluate new product opportunities and bring forward proposals to expand capabilities aligned with business strategy. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand business, data, and product needs. Evaluates market and competitive trends and assesses regulatory and compliance impacts on product feature sets and policies. + Leads a team that identifies opportunities of diverse scope related to advancing business objectives and growth strategies. + Research and assesses industry trends and opportunities in support of Discover’s strategy, by direct industry participation and via feedback from key internal stakeholders. + Coordinates with cross-functional teams and external resources to manage processes related to strategy development and required due diligence. + Develop presentation materials regarding opportunities, analysis, and/or recommendations. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
