The role you’ll contribute:

The role of the Senior Manager, Culinary Strategy is to support the overall development, integration, coordination, sustainment, and oversite of the governance functions among the Food and Nutritional Services service line. The Senior Manager, Culinary Strategy helps develop, implement, and streamline policies, services, and programs to ensure the quality of food and nutrition products and services across the AH system. This individual will ensure high quality and cost-effective services within regulatory, quality, and professional standards to fulfill strategic goals, mission, and values. The Senior Manager, Culinary Strategy is an integral member of the system support and ancillary leadership team helping oversee the integration and development of system support services governance; ensuring effective organization so that the strategy and objectives set forth by system support governance are implemented in a timely and efficient manner. The Senior Manager, Culinary Strategy is expected to have a deep understanding of system support governance functions and will have leadership responsibility for managing and overseeing the operations of the governance process. This individual should be aware of the external forces impacting standardization among all regions within the system support services. This individual will report to the System Director of Support Services.

Supports the initiation and development of strategic plans, policies, and procedures.

Identifies and develops new business initiatives and opportunities consistent with the mission, values, and strategic direction of AdventHealth.

Helps establish, monitor, and measure organizational performance against strategic goals and objectives to ensure innovative best practice is provided.

Responsible for partnering with AH facilities develop, implement, and execute seasonal food service menus.

Participates and leads related system committees that will enhance the quality of the food, reduce variation in products and production, and ensures economies of scale are realized.

Collaborates with system and facility Dietitians to ensure all patient food and menus meet established clinical guidelines.

Partners with local teams to help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and regulatory agency standards of compliance.

Works closely strategic sourcing to optimize vendor and product selection and contracting.

Partners with local FANS leadership teams to develop and implement consistent service structures, standards, processes and environments for food and nutrition.

Monitors and evaluates industry trends on the regions current business performance and competitive outlook.

Ensures active communication will all external and internal constituencies to establish strong relationships that are complementary and consistent with organizational values, goals, and strategic needs.

Promotes quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of improved procedures, process innovations and changes which support the strategic direction.

Develops high-level reports and presentations for executive team.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in culinary or related field

Minimum of Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in hospitality or related field, required. Priore experience in food and nutrition required.

Two (2) year supervisory or managerial experience

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically.

Working knowledge of project management, market research and data analytics.

Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite.

Refined presentation competencies and executive level communication capability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Two years of college education in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
