Senior Manager - Digital Products and Data
Position Summary: The Senior Manager Digital Products and Data is a key role in understanding the vision of Penske’s digital product offerings, understand emerging trends and manage a team of Product Managers responsible for individual implementations.  This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of products under their direction. The products developed/created will use data and technology to support internal and external product needs of our customers.  The associate in this role will provide daily guidance on implementation of technology, help with prioritization and conflict resolution.  They will work with upper level management to understand the direction of the business and ensure the execution of the Product Managers roadmaps meet the needs of the business in a timely manner.
The Senior Manager Digital Products and Data will be responsible for creating development plans for the Product Managers to enable growth of the associate The individual will be responsible for mentoring multiple levels of Product Managers on their team to ensure proper processes are in place and consistent approaches used to drive outcomes for the business.
The position will require this individual to champion, support, mentor, and drive improvements within the Digital Products and Data.  This individual will demonstrate strong leadership skills and proven strengths in creating, implementing, and managing change with a focus on satisfying customer needs.
Major Responsibilities: • Lead team of product managers through multiple projects simultaneously that involve multiple cross-functional teams. • Ensure that there is a robust project plan for each product in active development, which may include the project requirements, technical solution, resource plan, work plan, and estimated project duration/effort. • Monitor all project activity, budget and resources to ensure the project remains on schedule, within budget, and that no rework is required. • Effectively communicate the project status, roles, scope changes, issues and risks to all project participants. • Understand, support and apply standard project management tools as applicable. • Analyze and prioritize project activities and client needs in order to establish realistic deadlines. • Work with customers to identify and resolve issues.  Provide hands-on training, troubleshooting and assist in identifying new solutions. • Identify process improvement opportunities that will eliminate defective processes and introduce better control inputs and changes. • Develop an understanding of the customer needs and the business and product objectives. • Provide leadership to direct reports and team members across Marketing. • Develop associates and team capabilities resulting in high functioning, engaged team with expanding skills and capabilities.  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Marketing, or Data Science preferred.  If no degree, equivalent work experience is required. • MBA preferred. • Agile Certification preferred.  Product Management Certification preferred. • 7 years of product management experience required. • 3 years of experience leading and developing product managers or developers in an enterprise agile environment.  • 3 years of Penske experience preferred. • Advanced product manager skills required. • Knowledge of Product Management tools. • Must have advanced research, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Effective presentation skills with the ability to present project information to, and field questions from, Senior Management. • Excellent time management, organizational skills and follow-up with the ability to switch gears as required based on changing priorities without losing attention to detail. • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate internally and externally at all levels. • Must demonstrate leadership capabilities. • Must be comfortable presenting new ideas to Senior Leadership. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
