Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering

Executes projects and policies, evaluates characteristics of equipment, identifies potential project risks, allocates project work, and provides mentoring and career development opportunities for staff. **Key Responsibilities:** + Define and manage the goals of the Sensor Discipline and Sensor Team members in alignment with the Electrical CoE organizational goals. + Manage Sensor Team personnel and coordinate staffing needs for Sensor Discipline. + Manage the Sensor Team portfolio of research & development projects through the Carrier Technology Readiness Level (TRL) process. + Manage the Sensor Team portfolio of new product development (NPD) projects through the Carrier Product Development Process (PDP). + Define Long-Range Planning (LRP) and Annual Operating Planning (AOP) needs for the Sensor Discipline in alignment the Carrier Electronics and Electrical CoE organization. + Define and maintain lab capability needs including pertinent capital equipment for the Sensor Discipline in alignment with Global Lab Optimization activities. + Define and maintain Sensor discipline related Intellectual Property (IP) strategy in association with Carrier fellows. + Maintain strategic relationships, related to the Sensor Discipline, with key personnel in strategy, technology, engineering and product organizations. **Role Purpose:** + The Sensor Discipline Lead leads the Sensor Team, providing program management and people management to the Sensor Discipline as part of the Electrical Center of Excellence (CoE) and Carrier Electronics team. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree + 7+ years technology & engineering development experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience managing a technology project portfolio, project deliverables, and portfolio financial planning. + Experience coaching, mentoring and developing personnel. + Experience managing laboratory infrastructure and testing equipment. \#LI-Onsite RSRCAR **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
