The Customer Strategy & Innovation PMO serves United Airlines in providing trained and qualified professionals who flexibly use United's Envision Design Build Activate (EDBA) frame work in partnering with business and enabling teams to deliver assigned portfolios, programs, and projects with high quality, in a timely manner, and with as-scoped benefits for our customers, frontline employees, and supporting groups. Effective execution in this role is critical to achieving United's goal of leveraging Portfolio Management & Project Delivery Capability.
The Portfolio Manager will lead and direct project managers and teams to meet the objectives of assigned portfolio(s). Portfolios are a set of related complex, cross-organizational and/or strategic programs that include but are not limited to projects, programs, subsidiary portfolios, and operations managed as a group to achieve strategic objectives.
Provide matrixed direction and leadership to all project and or portfolio team participants while leading and managing project execution and/or other PMs in a portfolio situation, as assignedDirectly or indirectly deliver high quality artifacts and outcome through all phases of United’s project management lifecycle as needed to realize measurable business resultsMentor, guide, train project team members and other PMs on United’s project management framework including related artifacts and deliverablesAssist team members and research operational and performance data to provide statistics, trends, and reporting that advise leadership steering and decision-making, and as assignedUse project management controls for spanning multi-departmental boundaries. Monitors programs financial performance, quality of services, deliverables, and content within proposed timelines.Evaluate and report progress to relevant partners and committeesOrganizational implementation: Assess the impact of the scope and organizational change of the combined projects throughout the timeline of the program, including implementation of outcomes, training and communications, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.
