We are hiring for a Senior Manager for Environmental Health & Safety in Opa Locka, FL. Will lead and drive regulatory compliance and adherence to EH&S standards, Implement EH&S programs and fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. Engage with all levels of our workforce, you'll implement EH&S initiatives and provide critical EHS functional support to the site EH&S manage. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining a safe workplace and achieving excellence in EH&S performance.
This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.
1st shift Typically Mon. - Fri.
What You Will Do:
Lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety staff and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with current and future legal, regulatory, and corporate requirementsResponsibility for multiple EH&S specialties.Assesses EHS impacts and develops/implements programs to reduce risk as well as achieve and maintain compliance. Manages environmental permits and reporting criteria.Support incident management from investigation through corrective action implementationInspect, audit, assess and sample facility activities related to work practices for compliance as required by law and directed by the Plant Manager and RTX policyFollow the EH&S Management system and work in a team environment to formulate and achieve annual objectives and targets aligned with corporate and global EH&S initiativesMaintain site’s chemical and hazardous material inventory and other required air emissions documentation. Update waste profiles and help oversee hazardous waste management and disposal in accordance with all regulatory requirementsUpdate the site’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Resource Conservation & Pollution Plan, and Integrated Contingency PlanPerform inspections, collect samples, and analyze data; work with facility personnel to achieve goals for reduction in water usage, GHG emissions, industrial process wastes, etc. reducing our environmental footprintInvestigate environmental incidents and near misses to determine root cause and provides corrective action that eliminates repeat occurrencesApply CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvements.Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management.Support in-depth analysis of the business including analysis and assessment of trend data for EH&S improvement opportunities and develops/implements programs to reduce risk and achieve and maintain complianceInteract with employees daily to promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the facilityCollaborate with Facilities Management and business partners to achieve and maintain facilities and site activities that are compliant with local regulationsWhat You Will Learn:

Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experienceComprehensive Leadership and experience implementing OSHA, and EPA requirements.Prior experience leading EH&S programs and implementation teams.U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62Qualifications We Prefer:
Experienced People LeaderSuccessful history of partnering with an Operations leadership team to drive a mature and engaged EHS Management SystemUnderstanding of factory equipment, manufacturing, field safety and EH&S management systems; experience working in a fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization.Continuous Improvement experience e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, LEAN etc. strongly desired. Strong technical, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skillsAdditional certifications, such as CSP, CIH, P.E. or CHMM, strongly preferred
