Senior Manager ETO Engineering Operations

Eaton’s Electrical Commercial Products and Assemblies (CPA) division is hiring a **Senior Manager ETO Engineering Operations** to lead the CPA Division's Center of Excellence (COE) function; including strategy, operations, and continuous improvement for Panelboards, Switchboards, and Busway. **This role is remote and requires 25% travel.**
Reporting to the CPA Engineering Director, the role is accountable for divisional oversight of custom order engineering activities, ensuring alignment with customer requirements. Leads the design, development, and implementation of master designs and first-of-a-kind applications for large customers, including the data center segment. Ensures ETO engineering processes meet Eaton’s strategic goals and customer standards. This role also provides functional leadership for the Maintenance of Line (MOL) engineering and ETO automation tools for those product lines.
**In this role you will:**
• Oversee ETO product line backlog, driving SIOP processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve safety, quality, OTP, productivity, and inventory.
• Manage electrical and mechanical design of projects to meet customer and manufacturing schedules.
• Align with leadership on operational and marketing plans, and digital strategies.
• Develop staffing and professional development strategies for ETO teams.
• Implement quality improvement and productivity projects for manufacturing.
• Mentor leaders, guide performance reviews, and support talent development.
• Develop and improve front-end processes to support operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction.
• Oversee master scheduling to meet customer needs, manage service level standards, and ensure accurate communication with sales and customers.
• Lead ETO design automation strategy, collaborating with IT and other Eaton divisions.
• Ensure alignment with large customer segments (e.g., data centers) and oversee engineering activities for hyperscale programs.
• Lead MOL engineering efforts and prioritize support based on customer and engineering needs.
• Foster innovation in ETO engineering, improve standards, and streamline manufacturing processes.
• Develop talent pipelines and lead early talent programs to support the ETO function.
**Your Qualifications:**
• Minimum 7 years engineering experience in an Engineer-To-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience leading others and achieving on-time business results
• Working knowledge of low voltage power distribution products
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics)
• Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience in project management of Protection & Control Design
• Proven success in a customer-facing role
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business Administration

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year.
