We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

Manager Corporate Flight Operations

Bell Textron is seeking a Corporate Flight Department leader to manage and oversee all aspects of Bell’s corporate flight operations, including flight scheduling, aircrew and maintenance personnel management, aircraft maintenance, safety compliance, and executive passenger transport, ensuring efficient and safe air travel. The person selected will join and lead a team of passionate, high caliber aviators, maintenance and operations staff and should be a self-starter, team player, and professionally driven.The Manager Corporate Flight Operations will also serve as a Captain to crew the Citation X and Citation X in support of Textron, Bell, and Textron Systems flight operations. The Manager Corporate Flight Operations will report to Bell’s Vice President, Flight Operations.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager Corporate Flight Operations

Lead the corporate flight department consisting of two full-time pilots, two part-time pilots, and two AP mechanics.Act as Captain/Co-Captain on Bell Textron, Textron Systems and Textron aircraft.Conduct safe and efficient operation of assigned aircraft.Maintain currency on assigned aircraft.Maintain knowledge of equipment and government regulations affecting flight operations.Operate aircraft within company guidance and adhere to all relevant legal requirements.Participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure Safety remains the highest priority.Seek opportunities to use your expertise and experience to contribute and advance the mission of Bell and Textron.Create a positive work environment by caring for and developing all personnel assigned.Drive team success and continuous improvement by active engagement and leadership within the corporate flight department and the larger flight operations team.Work irregular schedules as assigned.Represent the company at all times in a professional manner.Be open to further career development opportunities within Textron business units.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Commercial Pilot Certificate/Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine) Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate or the ability to obtain prior to start Experience as a flight crewmember, with a working knowledge and practical experience of FAR Part 91 or FAR Part 135operations Minimum of 3000 Total Fixed Wing Flight hours Minimum of 1500 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Flight Hours Minimum of 1000 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet PIC Flight Hours Experience with corporate flight operations Knowledge of Safety Management System Implementation Bachelor’s Degree required 5 years’ experience as a Captain in a Civil Flight DepartmentPrevious Leadership role in a Civil Flight Department or the desire to develop into a leadership role International flight experience (preferred)Strong record of development and success in the Corporate Aviation Function Type Rated on CE-750, or similar aircraft (preferred)
