In this role, you will balance strategic ideas with complex accounting principles and financial concepts representing the business to senior leadership across the enterprise. This position reports directly to the CFO of the Caterpillar Digital Division. **What You Will Do:** + Providing financial leadership and support to Cat Digital, including all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and systems + Managing business unit month end financial reporting up through Cat Digital Senior Vice President, Group CFO and Corporate Consolidations + Coordinating annual business plan and quarterly forecast updates with Group CFO organization and Corporate Consolidations + Implementing financial management tools in support of Project Oasis to accelerate and standardize Cat Digital financial analyses + Refining project allocation methodology to provide financial transparency on major initiatives + Completing financial transformation through full implementation of the Axiom financial reporting tool and OneStream harmonizing + Leading the process for analyzing and approving the capitalization of key investment initiatives across Cat Digital + Participating in strategy development to improve accountable profit results + Managing and coordinating the development of accounting related functions for the Business Unit, including actual and planned accountable profit business statements + Lead profitability, margin and growth opportunity analysis of aftermarket sales providing insights for industry, region and products + Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve financial analysis, business insights, risk evaluation and enterprise learning of solutions selling. + Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals. **What You Have:** + **Business Acumen:** Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. + **Finance and Accounting:** Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. + **Organizational Governance:** Knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies. + **Strategic Thinking:** Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. + **Leadership:** Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. + **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. + **Financial Forecasting and Modeling** : Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Top Candidates Will Also Have:** + Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline + Progressive Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development + CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred + Previous experience supporting senior leaders **Additional Info** : + The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + Domestic travel up to 10% **Summary Pay Range:** $156,000.00 - $234,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
