Senior Manager Global Compensation (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Support the Executive and Global Compensation Team in leading the development, implementation, and oversight of compensation grading and governance processes within the organization. This strategic role ensures that compensation practices are equitable, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with the company's overall objectives. The Senior Manager will work closely with senior leadership, HR teams, Legal and other department to promote transparency, fairness, and accountability in compensation programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain governance policies and procedures related to job grading and classification, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Monitor and audit job grading practices to identify and mitigate risks, addressing any discrepancies proactively. Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners, compensation teams, and executives to align job grading initiatives with business needs. Facilitate training sessions and workshops for HR professionals and management on job evaluation techniques and governance practices. Assist in the development and review of job grading methodologies and frameworks to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational goals. Oversee comprehensive job evaluations, ensuring timely assessments and consistent application of grading criteria across the organization. Analyze job grading data, compensation metrics, and industry benchmarks to drive informed decision-making and recommendations. Prepare and present reports for senior leadership, illustrating trends, insights, and the impact of job grading on organizational performance. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging practices, and regulatory changes pertaining to job grading and governance. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of job grading processes. Take an active role in the creation and delivery of best in class” Global and Equity Compensation programs, supporting the delivery of the adidas business and people strategies and in alignment with corporate governance principles, based in data & analytics and ensuring the best Employee Experience Lead and/or support global projects and initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of globally consistent compensation programs Help to ensure that adidas Global Compensation policies and practices support the attraction, motivation, engagement and retention of the best talent Work to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for Global Compensation through the development and digital tracking and reporting of KPIs Support fair-pay practices across adidas, in line with best Corporate Governance practices Apply storytelling techniques to facilitate effective change management and achieve alignment and buy-in, at all levels of the organization. Lead and/or support global/local project/process workstreams in the delivery of these projects/processes. Advise and provide guidance on operational compensation activities, such as grading, benchmarking, compensation packages and transparency Support the design and delivery of communication material & change management related to Executive, Equity and Global compensation programs. Remain abreast of existing and future trends and implications on compensation and rewards programs. Participate in external networks, where relevant

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

University degree or adequate education with emphasis on business, finance or HR Rewards A minimum of 5+ years’ experience required working in HR Rewards, ideally with a focus on Global Compensation Proven executive management influencing skills Experienced in job evaluation and grading (ideally Mercer IPE Methodology) Experience leading projects and/or teams (direct or indirect) 7+ years of overall work experience within HR Experience working in an international matrix organization High level of affinity to and experience with digital Reward solutions
