Mission

 

The Senior Manager of Global Medical Affairs provides scientific and medical expertise to internal cross-functional teams at Grifols and external stakeholders, supporting both the current portfolio and new developments. This role is responsible for leveraging clinical and scientific therapeutic knowledge to maximize the value of company products.

 

What your responsibilities will be

  

Executes Global Medical Affairs plans with guidance and contributes to its development, including Global launch strategy for new product/indication. Maintains deep scientific knowledge in the TA and identified novel areas of development to act as subject matter experts for internal and external stakeholders. Communicates relevant updates to regions and cross functional colleagues. Evaluates scientific value and quality of data generation initiatives including ISR/Research Grants/scientific awards and Company sponsored studies. Manages approved projects following internal processes with supervision. Contributes as subject matter expert to SIO strategy initiatives and teams. Builds and maintains relationship with KOLs and key stakeholders for strategic engagement. Develops and executes Ad Boards. Gathers insights on topics that can inform and contribute to medical strategy and innovation. Coordinates and reports structured insights gathering efforts from regions. Attends relevant congresses in the area of responsibility. Leads congress planning and organizes F2F meetings with KOLs. Coordinates congress report creation and delivers congress highlights. Manages Medical Affairs-driven publications in collaboration with the publications department. Designs and manages scientific content of events and multichannel initiatives. Collaborates with Global Commercial Departments, providing medical expertise and scientific input to global commercial strategy and launch teams, market access, regulatory, commercial learning and development and global patient advocacy. Provides scientific expertise to the creation and review of global promotional and training materials. Supports Medical Information team on medical enquiries response and SRL creation. Manages budget of assigned projects. Fulfills regular reports such as monthly reports and steeprock and prepares ad hoc presentations on activities. May mentor MAM

University degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or Medicine. PhD, MD or PharmD Advanced knowledge in the Immunology scientific field is preferred At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a scientific department is preferable Solid knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with highest ethical standards. Scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research etc.) Advanced communication and relation building skills Presentation skills Good English language skills (spoken and written) Computer skills Willingness to travel
