The opportunity
You will be part of EY international and multicultural environment managing audits of prominent companies and help us to grow our dynamic practice through the development of trusted client relationships and high performing teams
Your key responsibilities
Manage audits of company(ies) headquartered in Switzerland and/or subsidiaries of multinational groups, including integrated audits under PCAOB and ISA auditing standards of companies reporting under US GAAP and IFRS accounting frameworks. Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction. Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year. Direct daily fieldwork, inform Senior Managers and Partners of the engagement status, and manage staff performance. Coach more junior audit team members on accounting and auditing matters. Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor or Master’s degree in economics, accounting or finance with professional qualification (i.e. Swiss, US or other recognized CPA qualification) At least 5-7 years audit experience including 1 year managerial experience gained in leading audit teams in an international environment Managerial experience in leading an audit team in an international environment, coaching audit staffs and seniors on technical accounting/auditing procedures, liaising with audit specialists (ie. IT, Tax, Valuation) Assertive and proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work in an international team environment. Ability to network effectively within large organizations and build relationships with individuals and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Hands-on and self-starter individual. Excellent ability in documenting accounting positions and in preparing auditing documentation is considered essential, together with ability and willingness to coach more junior team members. Experience in data analytics.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Working experience with U.S. accounting standards (US GAAP) and PCAOB auditing standards. A strong interest in our profession and client-oriented attitude. Strong team player mentality to proactively drive solutions within highly motivated and diverse teams across functions, countries and region.
